Our Vision

Our goal is to create a bigger, better global community of ravers. Bigger because we want to make raving more accessible to people who may be interested in being part of the community but don't know where to start. 5 years ago I loved EDM but didn't have friends I could go to shows and festivals with. It took a lot of courage to put myself out there and make new friends who would eventually introduce me to other ravers. Our goal is to make this easier for people who are new to the scene and don't know any ravers who can bring them into the community. And our scope is global. Today we're starting in Boston, but eventually we want to bring our vision of a bigger, better rave scene to the entire world.

We also want to build a better rave community. As we introduce new ravers into the scene, we need to ensure they understand what PLUR is and how to put it into practice while attending events. We also need to take care of each other at shows, festivals and other events and make sure that everyone is safe.

The EDM scene is also extremely inclusive and must stay inclusive. Everyone should feel welcome no matter their gender, race, sexual orientation, disabilities, or age (as long as you're old enough for the event).

That being said, not everyone is welcome in our community. Anyone who hurts, threatens, harasses, intimidates, verbally abuses, or assaults anyone in our community is NOT welcome in the Raven community or the broader rave scene. Unfortunately, there are some people who go to raves and events with the intention of taking advantage of ravers who just came to have a good time. Anyone who comes to a rave to: take photos of people without their consent, touch people without their consent, shove people, start fights, argue with people, attack people with your religious or political views, etc. is NOT welcome.

Our goal is to grow the rave community with real ravers, not parasites who call themselves ravers.

Lastly, we want raving to be more fun for everyone. Filming a DJ's opening visuals is fine, but dancing as hard as you can in a circle with your friends or the cool people you just met is so much better. Experienced ravers know that what makes raving special isn't the lasers, visuals or CO2 cannons (although those are cool too), but the memories you create with your friends and the people around you. This isn't raving elitism, and there's no right way or wrong way to enjoy raving (except for what was mentioned above). Our goal is just for everyone to have as much fun as they possibly can at these events, while staying safe and caring for the people around them.
